Have you ever noticed a puff of dust escape from your patio furniture when you take a seat? If so, what you're probably seeing is escaped particles from the inside of your cushion. This particle dust is actually comprised of a resin adhesive which has disintegrated, and this disintegration can occur in replacement seat cushions for exterior furniture in as little as one year. This rapid breakdown is common in cushion cores which are manufactured using a resin-bonded fiberfill, and cushion loft and density typically suffer soon after the resin bonding agent has disintegrated.
Cushion.com employs a different method of bonding polyester fiberfill for all replacement chair cushions we produce. Instead of resin bonding, we use a heat bonding process to create sheets of polyester fiber which are layered together vertically and become bonded through the heat exposure. We never spray any kind of adhesive (including resin) on our fiberfill, so there is no potential for adhesive breakdown.
Safe, Long-Lasting Replacement Chair Cushions
Because there is no adhesive used in the fiberfill core of our cushion products, replacement chair cushions manufactured by Cushion.com retain their loft, density, and shape far longer than the products produced by any of our competitors. Even more importantly, the heat bonding process we use is absolutely non-flammable. The resin adhesives used by other manufacturers in their replacement seat cushions are often highly flammable.
Considering the extra lengths Cushion.com takes to build a better cushion, you might think our custom cushions cost more. But, the quality, longevity, and cost competitiveness of our products have our customers thinking of them as a bargain.
